I like this guy but he's completely emotionally unavailable. Every time we get close, he pulls back and builds a wall so high I can't see over it. He'll give me just enough warmth and attention to keep me hooked, sharing these perfect, intimate moments that feel real, but then he'll disappear for days or become distant and cold. I'm starting to realize I'm more attracted to the potential I see in him—the man he could be if he just let himself be vulnerable—than the person he actually is right now, and I'm exhausted from trying to unlock a door he clearly has no intention of ever opening.
